Q & A : PLEDGING BETA

Why join a fraternity?

A fraternity will create life-long friends, expand social opportunities, provide community involvement, and enhance your overall college experience.

How do I learn about Beta Theta Pi?

Throughout the first month and a half of each semester, we hold many recruitment events, such as bowling, BBQ's, and paintball. These events are a great way to get to know the members of the fraternity and to learn more about the fraternity experience.

What is a bid?

A bid is an invitation to join our fraternity. After growing familiar with the members of the fraternity, potential member are recognized by personality and character and are given this opportunity to join.

What is a pledge?

If a student chooses to accept his bid, he becomes a pledge. A pledge is a trial member of the fraternity. The pledging process is a 10-week program to learn about members and Beta's history, values, and goals.

Why join Beta Theta Pi?

Beta Theta Pi sets a high standard for fraternities. We strive to maintain excellence in academic areas while maintaining active social lives, helping the community, and striving to improve ourselves.
