It’s been 118 years since Beta Theta Pi was colonized at the University of Minnesota in 1889, but our dedication to academics, community service, and commitment to each other has never been stronger! Just as our founders would have wanted all the way back in 1839, Beta Theta Pi has proven to be a home away from home for over 1700 young men. Located at 1625 University Ave, Beta is one of the largest and most successful fraternities on the campus, but is always concerned with continuous improvement. We are grateful to all those who came before us and built a bridge for our success, and we look forward to adding to the bridge for young men looking to build the bonds of brotherhood within the values and principles we hold dear. |

$$$BETA THETA PI ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP$$$ |

|
Dear prospective University of Minnesota Freshman, Beta Theta Pi believes that men should be applauded and recognized for their success and a strong desire to achieve. Building Men of Principle has been at the core of the fraternity of Beta Theta Pi for more than 160 years. Beta continually seeks to provide opportunities for personal development, leadership and chances to foster lifelong relationships. Perhaps you did not know, but some of our prominent members have used these opportunities as well. Maybe you have heard of them: Sam Walton- Founder of the retail juggernaut Wal-Mart, Famed UCLA basketball coach John Wooden, Luxury retail guru David Nordstrom, Former Secretary of Defense William Perry, and the original Batman—Adam West. It is the hope of the fraternity to provide these same opportunities to young men such as yourself here at the University of Minnesota. Four scholarships with the values of $1000/$1000/$500/$500 will be awarded by the Beta Pi chapter of Beta Theta Pi to a prospective freshman at the University of Minnesota. We are looking for men who demonstrate a strong devotion to academic success and a commitment to making our university and community better. Equally, we are seeking men who wish to develop skills that will make them successful not only here at the “U”, but also in life. Note: By applying for the scholarship, you are NOT committing to a membership in the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity or any other organization. Rather, you are affirming their desire to achieve excellence. For many men, Beta has served as a great catalyst for success. |

Beta Theta Pi can provide the optimal undergraduate experience that members remember throughout their lifetimes. Just ask our alumni, who have become leaders in their community around the country and world. We strive for academic achievement, community involvement, and a strong brotherhood. We have fun and seek all the benefits of being involved in activities in the University. We are well-rounded men with big goals who stick to our ideals. Whether you have similar qualities or simply looking to learn more about life in the Greek community, contact our chapter president, Greg Jensen, BetaPi1715@gmail.com. |
